Congrats Roger! Fantastic match! Where did this FH come from? It was cooking almost the entire match! I did not expect that, not this early. Everything is looking very good for 2009.

It's so nice especially since none of us expected this..
We thought he'd lose in R3, and every round following that
Roger
The off season will be bearable now

I didnt actually see it (cant wait till i do )

i have to give props to murray...unlucky this time but all the young guns lost their first slam finals on fast surfaces against federer.
nadal, djoker and murray...but they proceeded to beat him the next time.

Nadal lost two times in the finals before beating him on a 'fast' surface..
Djoko hasn't beaten Roger in a grand slam final..
Neither has Murray yet

Brilliant, Brilliant, oh how brilliant it was.
Wish there were a bit more tears at the end, but Robert was teary enough for the both of them. Never seen that before.
Rogi, you champion!

Re: **** "The Return Of The Ninja" - The elusive No.13 has been conquered!! Let's par
fedex finally returns for glimpses of qf,sf,f ,and shows atp tour what real shot-making tennis is all about
movement most importantly is back, and his willingness to volley is most impressive, especially after that abomination of the fo semifinal..looks like that olympic doubles gold might have helped him in more ways than one.
he needs to take this momentum into the indoor season and off season, and continue to improve his approach game, and net game; If he does, he has a great chance at 14 and 15 next year.

Re: **** "The Return Of The Ninja" - The elusive No.13 has been conquered!! Let's par
Slice looked great today, staying low. This really helped his return game. He was playing really aggressive and hitting really deep, stepping around BHs even on 2nd serve returns. His movement to his FH is still slow, but it's amazing how much pace he can generate on the total run, and he's consistently hitting cc on that shot with few errors. Still needs to work on the movement and timing, but things are looking far better right now than I had expected earlier this year. Also needs to work on those FH volleys.
All in all... celebration time!!! #13 and only two more to go.

The field caught up to everybody. Tennis is deeper now than ever. I can confidently say that I would beat the ‘03 version. - Andy Roddick.
