Good luck to David. Hopefully he is now pain free and his recovery has gone smoothly. We all know how much he loves to represent his country. Zeng is ranked at world no. 598, and has had more success in doubles than singles during his career, and has played mostly in Challenger qualies and futures events this season, so David couldn't have asked for a more generous 1st round draw.
In the doubles draw, David is teaming up with Canas and they take on Darcis/Ollie Rochus in the 1st round.

I like the draw. I think their doubles draw looks pretty good too ( at Andreev/Davydenko being seeded 8)

First round matchup with Zeng does sound incredibly boring to me though.

Hopefully it's okay to repost the draw again because that one above is so hard to read.

I really have no idea what to expect from the Olympics. I guess I am eager to find out if he is prepared enough and if he can play without any health issues. However, reaching QF would be great achievement.

It's been a while since I checked up on David. So glad to see he's back on the court and apparently well enough to play Olympics. Hopefully he has fully recovered from his injury and will stay pain free. If so - he's always capable of a big surprise. VAMOS David!

Talking Re: The Olympics

Unfotunately I don't have time to translate. This interview was made yesterday in Beijing. David is optimist about his double team, he thinks they are a lot of posibilities to win a medal. About single he will try to do his best. About his health he said “La lesión ahí está, se siente, vamos a ver…”. It's means more or less that he feels pain but he thinks he will be able to manange it. He said the sourface and the ball are slow.
tHE title is "I'm here to win"

-----------------------------------------------

David Nalbandian pertenece a esa elite.
Ninguna situación parece incomodar nunca a Nalbandian.

No me corresponde.

-----------------------------------------------------------

the best for you DAVID!!!!

Thanks Chabela for your article of the interview on David, but unluckily my Spanish is crappy. But I'm sure David will at least roll into 2nd round because his rival in 1st round is a Chinese player. Go David!!!
