Not worth it. Tottenham are money wasters.

Yes we will have to wait and see; however I must admit I haven't been this excited about our prospects for a long time

Should be an interesting season - it is all depending for me whether Ronaldo will stay at United to see if there will be a real competition for the title.

On first sight I am really leaning towards Man Utd to win EPL, Spurs to win EPL without big four, Arsenal tb Chelsea, Hull to beat Stoke and Hull to beat Fulham. But it is still early, and we can still expect quite a few transfers which could change up things.

Anyway, I'll definitely post my thoughts here coming season, also for the Dutch Premier Division. Hopefully it can lead to a profitable nice season!

I can't believe Barcelona didn't except the amount City offered, and it was 6 million pounds more tha Milan.

They did accept Man.City's bid. Ronaldinho didn't want to go there. Of course Barca wanted him to go to Man.City for more money and a team they probably won't have to face in the CL next season, but if the player doesn't want to go there then there is nothing they can do about it. Ronaldinho was always going to choose Milan over Man.City.

Portsmouth w/o the big 4 is currently a huge price at 7/1 (in fact up until a couple of days ago they were 9/1). At first I thought they might struggle to deal with Europe and the league, but the more I think about it the more well set they are. Their defence was very solid last season and with Defoe/Crouch that should yield a consistent supply of goals and classy midfield talent like Kranjcar and Diarra - it's definitely a play worth making.

When you consider Spurs are 7/4 currently and may lose Berbatov and/or Keane, then it's a no brainer to back Portsmouth at 7/1. Villa and Man.City are also both shorter than Portsmouth and that makes little sense to me when you look at the respective squads.

I'm going to put Portsmouth in a patent with Valencia @ 6/1 (w/o Real & Barca) & Birmingham to win the Championship @ 6/1.

Yeah, thats what i thought. ManCity could have challenged for CL next season if the lazy prick Dinho was there, but he'll go with Milan and know he's gonna get in CL next season. I would have liked to see Ronny at City. Oh well. But the EPL is very different from the other leagues, so Ronny may have found it harder to gel into.

I don't understand where you're coming from? Are you trying to say Ronaldinho copped out by going to Milan rather than Man.City?

Why would anyone choose Man.City over Milan? I think Ronaldinho (a fully fit and committed one) would have done as well, if not better in the Premiership, than he has anywhere else. I don't think any of these things have any bearing on why he chose Milan. Milan was the obvious choice from the beginning for every reason apart from financial (he'd have made more money going to Man.City when you take the % fee into account, which he waived to go to Milan).

I'll be backing Milan for the UEFA Cup next season without a shadow of a doubt (7/1 last time I looked, HUGE, especially when Spurs are considered 2nd favs ). I still think Inter will win Serie A, but Milan will push them very close.

I'm not impressed by what Juve have done in the market, although you could make a case to say they are EW value for the CL.

Bottom line is Ronny wanted CL and a bigger club, and thats what he got. Man City don't have a chance for CL.

Milan may pull a Bayern Munich and get knocked out. Uefa Cup is full of surprises.

I wouldn't back Milan for the UEFA yet either.. You never know which teams will join after the first round of CL and compete in the UEFA after the winterbreak.

I like your view on Pompey, jayjay. But I will just wait two more weeks to see what happens with Tottenham and any transfers before making any bets. Losing Berbatov and Keane would be a huge loss, but on the other hand they will have quite a lot of money to spend then as well.

I don't think Ramos has any idea what he is doing, to be honest.
Santos is shit, Modric isn't anything great. Not good signings imo.
