Re: US hardcourt season 2008
And it's two defeats after getting a match point in only one month He'll become the king of the chokers I remember also the one, last year, against Karlovic in Stockohm.
But here serving two times for the match, he can be disappointed and maybe angry (poor balls kids)
No aces machine today, only 6 aces on the same court.

Arnaud can do the same even I don't know if he often goes in his home in switzerland, he must prefer his sunny south

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
Il pourrait aller à Paris-plage
For Beijing, I hope everything will be OK with Micka's injuries. The draw will be done the 7th.
Bad day for the french in Cincy , Gilles lost to Blake, Gael retired and Arnaud and I'm not optimitic for Serra

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
lol the older he gets, the more he chokes!
i didn't imagine the match would be this close, maybe gulbis is not that great on this surface what a loss opportunity.
anyway nice that gilles gives away the exact time of his (their?) arrival at beijing too bad i can't send any one to meet and greet
let's hope mika will be fine and ready for the draw next week.

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
L'Equipe
As I feared, he was extremely nervous after the match, for several reasons.
At 5/4 30/40, the chair empire should have done a penalty point to Gulbis, and he didn't dare, cos it would have given a match point to arnaud... so arnaud wandered if the rules are the sames for everybody, and if himself would have had the same favor...lol
After, he was disguted by his cr... backhand on the first match point.
In the last game at 5/4, he admited gulbis was more agressive.
To conlude, he's really fed up with all these missed match points since wimbledon...

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
Thanks for the stuff everyone! I learned a new French term from this last article--Letton.
If Arnaud had won, I would've been worried that Blake would crush him for the eighth time! I'm glad Ernests beat Blake.

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
Arnaud must play this afternoon in New Haven against Bellucci ! With the jet-lag and the frustration it won't be easy.

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
I can't believe he has to play again as early.
I would have imagined him going back home and forget tennis at least a few days... I'm sure he doesn't want to play and won't make any effort to win his match.

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
I also thought he had withdrawn but when I watched the OOP this morning I've been surprised. Of course he went directly in USA because of the USO but play today. Maybe a bagel today ?
Just for the fun on the ATP site this morning in the profile of Arnaud but not the truth regrettably

maybe that's the atp prediction, before they left for the weekend.
i hope arnaud isn't going to log on to their intranet this morning, it's still there. it will make things doubly depressing, one would think

I'm predicting a Clement - Grosjean final in New Haven.

Re: US hardcourt season 2008
It's unbelievable they've put that on the website already
Makes me so I hope they don't see it
The stupidest mistake I ever saw on a tennis website was at Wimbledon.org a few years back. I looked up Fred's profile there (he was good enough for Q back then...) and I read he made the first round in a year before he was born
His father played tennis too and he has the same name
