Default Rafa completes the Borgian double slam- Champion of Wimbledon and Roland Garros!!!!!

Rafa hope you are third time lucky

Other notes: Thread starter: Hema (check)
Borg in thread title (check)

Disclaimer: Because of my thread starting success at RG, I have been asked to open the thread for Wimbly This is too much pression for me I promise not to start another thread if Nadal doesn't reach atleast the semi's here. If he loses either in semis/final then I will not start a GS thread for a long time If he wins, I will be the Borg of thread-starters

It's the hype and enthousiasm in GM that gets to me and makes me worry. Or maybe it's Linda's influence.

Rafa is completely draw dependent at Wimbledon. And also completely dependent on his opponents playing a poor tactical match.

I'll wait till the draw and see if he manages only to draw the likes of Cipolla, Hernandez etc or tactical masterminds like Blake before I give my prediction.

Nadal set for pre-Wimbledon match

Newly-crowned Queen's champion Rafael Nadal will play one final match on grass before competing at Wimbledon.

The world number two will play Marat Safin in an exhibition match at the Fortis Tennis Classic on Friday at the Hurlingham Club in south west London.

Nadal took the Artois title with a 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 win over Novak Djokovic seven days after winning the French Open.

"I'm a little bit tired but I think with a few days' rest I'm going to be ready for Wimbledon," said Nadal.

"And if not, it does not matter, because Wimbledon is very important and the motivation is 100%."

The 22-year-old Spaniard is aiming to become the first man to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year since Sweden's Bjorn Borg managed the feat in 1980.

"I've made it to two Wimbledon finals so sure, I can win, but it's a lot of work," said Nadal.

The other leading names at Hurlingham will be Tomas Berdych, Tommy Haas and James Blake.

• Spain's Carlos Moya, Argentines Juan Monaco and Juan Ignacio Chela, and Japan's Akiko Morigami have pulled out of Wimbledon with injuries.

They will be replaced by Argentines Martin Vassallo Arguello and Brian Dabul, Croatian Roko Karanusic, and Renato Voracova of the Czech Republic.

I say Final cos Feddy seem to start playing in the GOAT style again

Metis, shouldn't you give some points to the ones which were close in their prediction?

I don't know what's wrong with me, every time I read one of his blogs I think "wow, does Rafa have no personality at all or is his life just this boring," but I make sure to read all of his entries anyway.
