Oh well, he did pretty well since he had no serve today. 0 ace!!
Just a bit annoying it always takes him one whole set to get in gear.

He also plays doubles in Wimbledon together with Zverev, they play Haggard-Zovko in the 1st round.

Not an easy Wimby draw, hopefully we get to see another Monfils-Federer match, but I'll be okay if Fed loses early.

(...) Afterwards, Monfils revealed that he had been suffering inflammation.
He said: "It is not good. I felt it before a little bit but today it was worse, I couldn't serve and at the end of the match I couldn't play.
"I came into the net more because I wanted to shorten the points. My physio will have a look at it, he said there is inflammation."
But the Frenchman hopes to be okay for Wimbledon, where he has been seeded 30th and is due to face Australia's Chris Guccione in the first round.
"I know what the problem is and I think it is not too bad," he added. "I hope I will be okay for Wimbledon, I will try."

"He's injured almost every match so I expected it." (Karlovic)

Sure hope he's okay...
Karlovic really is one of the dumbest player's on tour, no intelligence at all.

In l'Equipe today:
Quote:
VINCENT COGNET
Since he's in Federer's half in Wimbledon, he already knows he'll have to play on Monday and it will be very close. The doc of the Lagardère Team arrived yesterday evening already. Gaël said after the match that his shoulder had been hurting a little bit since the beginning of the week. The heavy balls used in Nottingham and the bad weather didn't help either. Yesterday, it was obvious after a few games already that he wasn't able to serve normally. He had to fight so much on each service game compared to Karlovic.
Interviewed right after leaving the court, he says he frankly doesn't care much about the defeat and is just worried about the shoulder. Just catching his towel was painful at the end of the match. So he doesn't even want to discuss about the semi-final or his draw in Wimbledon. He has no idea how bad it really is and is going to see this acupuncturist he was already working with in Roland (Philippe Manicom - the Lagardère people were not too happy about that, it was an idea of Papa Monfils to work with Manicom). Manicom was in Nottingham again with Champion and Barbarin.
And the last part is about the fact that even though Gaël now looks focused and much more consistent during his matches, he still is a tad "La Monf'" and unpredictable off the court. It's not easy for his team, they sometimes are waiting for him for a training session and realize that Gaël rather went to the restaurant without informing them, for example. He still is quite whimsical. So it's impossible to know which Gaël will show up on Monday against Guccione.

As for gaelmonfils.com, Bullibule, I asked over there and they said the forum registrations have been closed for months already because of problems with spam bots... And I was stupidly wondering why there wasn't any new user after the French Open. ^^
Is there any active website or forum about him (in French or English)? Anything like trackingmonfils.com? It was great - and maybe I wouldn't need to translate all this stuff if there already are good English websites about him, I haven't even checked.

Thank you Truc, I don't know if other forums exclusively devoted to Gael exist. It is not too bad, there is MTF, and other forums about Tennis.

You know from when the forum of Gael will be able to re-register ?

Thank you for all, you are brilliant

Court 18, there should be a "Wimbledon Live" livestream then if anybody has a subscription (I haven't, it's not available here in Germany, unfortunately).

Truc, I didn't very understand, you want to say that we can follow the match on Internet? On the web-site of Wimbledon?

Court 18 is a televised court?

Yeah you can, it costs around 25€. For that you get coverage on 8 courts, don't know which ones exactly, I'm gonna check that out in the morning.
