Re: Irish Tennis
Another first round loss this time on the clay for Conor with him going down 64 63 to Lojda. He is on the alt lists for Houston and Casablanca next week and then entered for the Athens Challenger the week after that.

Re: Irish Tennis
Conor won his first round of Casablanca Qualies with a 64 36 63 victory over Ivan Navarro. Next up is Smethurst and then if he were to get through that he would take on the winner of Andrey Kuznetsov vs Millot.

Re: Irish Tennis
horrible loss. Queens is probably the best known event here outside the slams. People know it well because the BBC covers it.
would have been huge for him to qualify. hopefully get the 2 withdrawals he needs but it's pretty unlikely

Re: Irish Tennis
Well Sorensen has come out of his short lived retirement and is currently playing in a futures event in Koeln, Germany. He is seeded 7th and won his 1st round match 6-3 6-3 against Swedish qualifier Markus Eriksson. Next up is another qualifier, Urzua-Rivera from Chile. Hope the back is feeling good and can play out the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Niland is one win away from his first appearance in a main draw of a grand slam, he faces Mektic in the final round of qualifying later on today.

Re: Irish Tennis
Sorensen won his second round match in straight sets but then gave his opponent a walkover in the quarter finals. Anyone know what happened? Hope it's not to serious...
