What a disappointment. We have been waiting for so long, and this is what we get?
That's one of the weakesnt entry lists in the ENTIRE challenger series, even compared to other new challengers and challengers at the same prize level.
No players from the first 100 (including the Honorable Mr. Dudi Sela), only 3 from the second 100... no wonder they give free admission, who would pay to watch these players?

And hello to you too!
Instead of using emoticons, can you actually say - to the point - what's wrong with what I said? Factually or otherwise?
The entry list is weak - that's a fact. no players from the top 100, only 3 from the second 100 - that's a fact. to me, that constitutes a disappointment and a failure by the organizers.

I'm also disappointed by the fact that on the occasion of the return of the challenger series to Israel - something we've been waiting for for 8 years - Israel's top player has something better to do, apparently.

The tournament has free admission, no tickets are necessary. That's also a fact. They would have charged money if they thought anybody would pay to watch these players, you can trust me on that. Apparently, the organizers know they have a weak and unattractive tournament on their hands, just as well as I do.

For free admission, this entry list is way too good. You even had free admission in Davis Cup against Finland, so that doesn't mean there is free admission because the players are too bad. I guess it's just normal for tournaments in Israel. Maybe you don't know that you have to pay tickets for most futures tournaments, sometimes even 10€ and more.
In fact, I think it's an attractive entry list and for free admission it's unbelievable good.

Good luck to Gojowczyk!

Default Re: Week 28: Ramat Hasharon, Israel

The only reason they gave free admission (and also the reason they gave free admission against Finland back then) is because they realized nobody would pay to see that. It wasn't the way you described it - they fully intended to charge money for this tournament, until they realized what a weak tournament this is, especially after the anticipation Israeli fans had after such a long time. then they anounced admission is free.
But that is beside the point. My main point is that objectively, regardless of whether it's free or not, this is an incredibly weak tournament for a challenger. And after the anticipation and expectations it's very disappointing.
The status of admission is a secondary thing (and like I said, they said it would be free only after they saw the entry list). I can only say that I would have gladly paid admission to see a better tournament. I doubt if I will visit this one, even for free.

Good luck to Gojowczyk!
That's not true. Just because it is the case in Germany, doesn't mean it can be extrapolated. I am convinced entry is free at most Futures.

The list here isn't dreadful. For a $50K without hospitality, and considering the other events this week, it is what could have been expected.
