Mark missed a massive opportunity to qualify for the Dallas Challenger losing to doubles specialist Brett Joelson in the first round of qualies 76 64. Disappointing loss considering how easy the draw was especially with Vemic being eliminated.
In Vero Beach this week playing an American 10k Green Clay future. In the first round he beat Ryusei Makiguchi 46 64 75. His opponent in the second round will be a wildcard in the form of either Dennis Novikov or Kriegler Brink. Hopefully Mark makes the Quarters here.
Mark suffered a disappointing loss to Kriegler Brink losing 64 64. It's been a couple of years since Brink last played a competitive match and he has no intentions of turning pro and reportedly didn't even warm up for the match. Disappointing result and hopefully he bounces back in his next tournament.
Playing a 10k Jakarta futures tournament this week as the top seed. He won the first round against Kento Takeuchi who was in a bit of form after making the SF of a Chinese futures event last week. An easier match for Mark in the second round where he will play Kenny Bun from Cambodia.
Playing another Indonesian $10k Futures tournament, this week in Surabaya, Mark is again the top seed. He repeated last week's 1st round win, this time against Indonesian qualifier Eneputty, 63 63. Hopefully he can go further than last week and win the 2nd round.
Finally strings two wins in a row together and advances to QF round in Futures Tournament in Surabaya. Faces an Indonesian WC in next match so should advance to SF, where he may face tough opposition in the No.3 seed, a top Indonesian player, Chris Rungkat.
