Mark beat Gallardo-Valles 64 36 64. He now plays last week's Mexican Futures Runner Up, Victor Romero for a place in the semis.

I just seen the results on atpworldtour.com amazing win well done, also does anyone know if it is his first top 400 win.

no, he beat Sam Groth earlier this year who was ranked 281 at the time. I just really hope Mark keeps this form up and can push on enough to get a seeding in one of these events soon.

Mark lost to Victor Romero 26 63 46 which also brought his 4 match winning streak in third sets to an end.

Nice to see that Mark will move to about 850 in two weeks with this result. I really hope this will be the spark for Mark to fulfill the massive potential there is inside him. Still only 19 but he would really really need to get a lot more good futures results for the rest of the year so he is in a good position next year when he turns 20.

Good Luck Mark, overseas results are good but Australian futures are probably where your going to get most of your points at this point in time.

Mark played in the qualies of an Indonesian Futures event last week where he lost to 76 76 to Tucker Vorster after defeating I-Ta Chen 64 63.

This week he is playing in Japan where he made the MD and plays 8th seed Tasuku Iwami in the first round. Iwami is coming off a SF in Guam although he was very nearly bundled out in the first round to Michael Leong so Mark has a hope here if he can play like he did in Mexico.

Mark won 62 63. He now takes on Japanese Qualifier Yasuo Miyazaki for a place in the QF.

Mark is into the semis where he will play a Korean Qualifier. Hasn't dropped a set in his three matches so far. Great to see him backing up those performances in Mexico.

Mark through to the final with a 6-7(3) 6-2 6-1 win. Faces the Japanese number 3 seed Hiroki Moriya in the final, hopefully he wins but even if he doesn't a really really great week for him. I spose he is finally starting to live up to the huge potential people saw in him in his junior days.

If he loses the final he will move to about 700 in the world, if he wins the final he will move to about 650. He just needs to put a couple of these results together and he will be well in on his way to where he should be.

Come on Mark, bring it home.
