the draw is out http://www.atptennis.com/1/posting/2008/416/mds.pdf

very easy spot for Gillu is he was in good form

He has Tsonga (first tournament after injury stop) like first match and then probably Bolelli who's still playing in Munich. He's in the R3 where are all american boys who are not good player on clay

Allez Gilles! Let's hope he can take out Tsonga first, the rest should be a bit easier.

Thanks for all the news, Raffaele - he better shave until his first match!!
(Since Tulasne joked in an interview last year about the fact that Gilles hasn't much facial hair yet and will probably peak in a few years, Gilles really tries very hard to prove him wrong...)

"Very easy" might be pushing it a little. But it could have been worse.
I actually like his draw because he will maybe play on a showcourt if the Tsongamania hasn't died out yet.

Maybe Tulasne has to say something about it now, I also prefer Gilles shaved But I like him as he is, so if that's with a beard, so be it
Sounds like they have lots of fun together

Let's hope so for the showcourt! Allez Gillou!

I'm scared for tomorrow.
The articles say Gilles started practicing again 3 days ago only - like Jo.

(I haven't looked up, but I have the feeling his record against other Frenchies is horrible, isn't it? I can hardly remember a good win over a French player lately - Gicquel in Hamburg last year, but that's not really a feat...)

me too

like the last year I'll be with him in any case and against the great part of the crowd

btw in my opinion Gillu has a tennis more essential, intuitive then Jo. He should recover the top form more easly

Yes, you'll have to cheer VERY loudly to drown out the Tsonga supporters tomorrow, Raffaele!
People were even cheering for Cañas against Gilles last year? Tsss...

He plays on "Campo 1" tomorrow -> livestream! Never been so happy about the Tsongamania. I haven't seen Gilles play since Rotterdam.

Campo 1 1.00 pm

Juan Carlos FERRERO vs Nicolas KIEFER
followed by
Fernando GONZALEZ vs Janko TIPSAREVIC
followed by
Fernando VERDASCO vs Carlos MOYA
followed by
Gilles SIMON vs Jo-Wilfried TSONGA

I think Gilles will have his chances against Tsonga but it will be tough.

Rotterdam was the last time I saw him play too.

I hope it doesn't run late (ie. rain delays) or I won't be able to watch it.

Allez Gilles!
