Re: THE pictures thread
Thanks a lot, Autumn, I had no idea you were in Madrid!
The attention he got from the kids and the people around in general also was the highlight of my (very short) Gilles experience there. I know it's not so surprising in Madrid, but I hadn't completely realized before and it was so nice to see indeed. Tulasne had to play the role of teacher and tell the kids to be less noisy!

The Stan pics were just for you Alli

Re: THE pictures thread
Gilles was the first player I saw there, I was early and walked in to find my seat and they were practicing. I could have gotten spectacular photos from my actual seat, but there were only a handful of people watching and I was too shy. I liked to have the one of the one handed backhand volley that made it over the net. He also warmed up his drop shot a little. His match against Ljubo may have been very different if that days schedule hadn't changed. Verdasco/Monaco were scheduled to play right after, so I have a feeling if they hadn't been moved to center court to take the Rafa/Kholi and Roddick/Davydenko match slot the stands in court 2 where Gilles played would have been fuller and he may have been able to pull a little fight from the audience energy? He was playing beautifully in the first set and a half, though.

Re: THE pictures thread

I'm going to buy Men's Health, having Gilles Simon on the cover needs to be rewarded, even if they could have picked a better pic...

Re: THE pictures thread
It's actually about both Jo and Gilles, so I'm quite amazed they picked Gilles for the cover.
But the pics of him are bad.
And my favourite, the BH volley:

 Men's Health
A pic of the Gilles with Gilles Muller from the RG site yesterday:
And quite an old photo, not sure if it's been posted.
