Oh, the article is an additional four pages, I didn't scan it. The house is quite typical for Jūrmala region where usually wealthier folks live, but in general, no

Thanks for the scans, yaniss

Without having read the article, I think it's pretty impressive that Andis did fairly well for himself as a tennis player, considering that as he was adopted he wouldn't have inherited any innate tennis abilities from Daiga and Janis.

I read an article which quoted his father (can't remember where it's located ) where Janis talked about travelling to tournaments with Andis and about how some young players can acquire inferiority complexes if they stay at cheaper accomodation compared to other competitors.

I never thought about this but I imagine what Janis said is true. If I were a tennis player, I would acquire inferiority complexes in such a case, I think... or just become more and more aggressive

So that article is about Daiga and Janis Juska - both tennis coaches, how they lived, met, played tennis, married etc.

They didn't have their own children, so they decided to adopt one from the orphanage. So Andis became a member of their family at age 2.5. He is their only son.

He didn't know he was adopted until quite recently, when he found an insulting comment directed at him on the internet which lead to conversation with his parents about his past.
Nevertheless, their relationship is as good as always.
Thanks for sharing the scans Yaniss

What a trauma for Andis,I feelfor him, especially to find out such news after such a long time

Its good to know he has a good relationship with his parents though

Great news that Andis has qualified for Helsinki Good luck to Deniss in the final tonight, sarauj

Thanks Elena and Nadia for your updates

Just for reference, here's the link to the article I was talking about (but it seems to have gone VIP-only since I last read it )
