I always say "son/daughter" to anyone(even to my mum!) Im like Lola Dueńas/Soledad in "Volver", the movie by Almodovar - a movie I'd suggest to anyone...

Really? Weird world...We used "vecchio/vecchia" (literally, it is for 'old man/woman' in english) in high school. we are really poles apart

We also used 'makcik' or 'pakcik' sometimes, which literally means 'aunt'/'uncle'/'old person' see, not that different
