Great win of Nalby playing with Horacio!!

It was 6-2 7-6 7-6 against Soderling and Lindstedt.

Probably David is playing tomorrow the fifth match of this tie

So happy to see David win the two crucial points for his country,WD
TBH,I hope he can play IW with fully recovered body and finally his decision of playing DC didn't surprise me at all because he has a brave and patriotic heart all along and a DC champion is what he is eager to win as well.
Proud of you,David,GL in IW and Miami!

Nalbandian will play in Barcelona and hopes to return to the elite
Google translation from Spanish
The Argentine concluded: "If I is not to be among the 100 of the world," and added: "I'm in the right direction and I can raise my level"

BARCELONA (dpa) - Argentine David Nalbandian was determined to return to the higher echelons of world tennis ranking in a statement distributed today by the ATP event in Barcelona, where they will play thanks to an invitation.

"If I is not to be among the 100 in the world. I want to regain a place among the elite," said Nalbandian, who is returning to work after having hip surgery in 2009, just after the Spanish event.

The Argentine, 28, was eliminated in Sunday's third round in Miami when he fell to the Spanish Rafael Nadal but said he was "on track" to fully recover their privileged tennis.

"In Indian Wells and Miami have seen that I am either the injuries, and I can go quiet and raise my level. I have wanted to compete, to return to regain those feelings on the court, to enjoy."

Nalbandian will return to Argentina and then start his European tour from 11 April at the Monte Carlo event, which was also invited as their current ranking, 161, not enough to enter the picture.

"This year's clay season will be more special if possible. I'm going to Europe with a desire to do well, and add. I have no pressure, just look for my game and go find adding rhythm, confidence and points," said Nalbandian.

About their presence in Barcelona, the albiceleste are hopeful to reach a good level. "" I know the tournament will be hard for me, because the list is impressive and there are many specialists on clay, but I want to wanting to give everything and please the fans, which also provided support for many Argentines. "

The contest will be held barcelona between 18 and 25 April.

Buenos Aires, April 9, 2010

David begins his tour of clay in Monte Carlo

After his rest in Unquillo, David now travels to Monaco, where will play from next Monday 12th April Masters Monte-Carlo, his first European Tour tournament on clay.

In this way, David will continue adding tempo to retrieve his tennis level, its main goal since returning to the ATP circuit in February this year. "After the Miami Masters, where I was very happy with my performance, I took a few days off in Argentina to regain strength and get in the best way to Monte-Carlo", said David.

"I feel great, and I know that when playing on clay requires more hip, mostly by displacement. But both my medical and technical team are happy with my recovery and hope that I will not have difficulties to play in this surface, "explained David.

In addition to Monte-Carlo, David also plays Barcelona Open (ATP 500), and the Masters of Rome and Madrid.

He will face David Beck
Google translation

On Monday begins the Monte Carlo Masters, the tournament will mean to David the start of his European tour on clay. In Monaco, the draw was made the main draw and was determined that in his debut, David must deal with Germany's Andreas Beck, the world number 53, at 5:30 am in the morning of our country.

After its shares in Indian Wells and Miami, and after a few deserved days of rest in Argentina, David is ready to face a new challenge. The Monte Carlo Masters will bring together the best players in the world, and there David seek to confirm the proper level shown in recent matches, as happened to Kubot, Troicki and Nadal.

In history there is no history of confrontation between David and Beck, a German 24-year-old, who just achieved the best performance of his career in the 2009 edition of the Monte Carlo Masters. Should I win, David will be measured in the second round against Russian Mikhail Youzhny, tennis player that will rival Argentina in Davis Cup

Source vamosdavid.com:

there are two different versions of how David will spend the week before Roland Garros. While the World Team Cup website insists that he'll be part of the Argentine team in Düsseldorf, the website of the Guinot Masters exhibition at the Paris Golf & Country Club (which takes place during the same week) also lists David among the participating players...
We'll see which version proves to be the right one.

As David will play only one match at the Guinot Masters exhibition (vs Roddick; Friday, May 21),
he will probably begin the week in Düsseldorf and then fly over to Paris in time for that match (thanks, Denise).

Die Comeback-Tour läuft also erfolgreich.

Third appearance in the Rochus Club
Argentina's team at the World Team Cup in Dusseldorf on 16 to 22 May has received with David Nalbandian in the short term gain prominent. Team boss Luiz Lobo nominated the 28-year-old right-handed as a fourth player. Nalbandian was one between
2003 and early 2009, always among the top ten players. Among other things, the end of 2005, he won the Masters Cup of the eight best players of the year, where he defeated Roger Federer in the finals after a 0-2 residue still in five sets. The breakthrough in the absolute world class, he had done in 2002 with the entry into the Wimbledon final, which he lost to Lleyton Hewitt.
Both play this year in the Rochus Club ...

In May 2009 he had to undergo hip surgery. Then he was only in February this year to return to the ATP Tour.
So far he has played four tournaments in 2010 and a Davis Cup match. His record here: 9:3 victories. The comeback tour is so successful. To stop, he was there in the last two tournaments, "only" of world class players such as Rafael Nadal (in 1000 in Miami) and Novak Djokovic (on the sands of Monte Carlo). The form shows up ...

ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP Nalbandian starts for the third time after 2003 and 2006. Apart from him include Juan Monaco, Horacio Zeballos and Eduardo Schwank the Argentinian team. Overall, the "Gaucho" has, whose ancestors came from Armenia so far won ten ATP tournaments and was ten times more in the final.

Meanwhile, La Mañana de Cordoba has a brief update about David's recovery and preparation for Madrid...

souce Vamos David:

David Nalbandian is stepping up his preparation for another return to the circuit. This season, he's up against two great opponents: the schedule and the injuries. But he invariably emerges stronger than before and focuses on his next target, the Madrid Masters, which starts next Monday. (...)
Nalbandian did not play the Conde de Godó (Barcelona) and the Rome Masters, getting into top shape again for the tournament in Madrid, and he has been making excellent progress. "I'm fine. I'm recovering and I plan to arrive in Madrid in the best possible shape," David said.
Apart from that, and without playing, David has advanced one spot in the rankings and is now ranked #150.
