Well I got a mag and its a good interview imo. There's nothing really new but he comes across much better than in his blog.
It starts off with him saying that he has a secret when it comes to beating Fed. Whatever your secret was it didin't work today. He talks about his consistency at the slams saying "I feel I can play good anywhere" and his belief that he can win a major one day. Then the interview starts to get better.
He says the court that his dad built for him was very important in helping him start out in the game. 22 years on "It's exactly the same court" with "alot of cracks in it". He feels comfortable everytime he plays there and he still uses it for serious training sessions when he's home.
When in the capital, Buenos Aires, he stays in his own apartment, but as you know he's most comfortable when back at the family home in Unquillo. He describes his family as "completely average, normal middle class" adding that his parents used to run a leather shop. Nalbo says that he's aware of his family roots in Armenia and wants to visit the mother country one day.
It then goes on to talk about the sad loss of his dad in 2004. Nalbo says "It was a complete shock" adding that it was difficult to sleep, play and focus on anything, but his family helped him through.
He talks about his strong relationship with Victoria saying that they're perfect. He says " I know the rules and she knows the rules" when referring to their long distance relationship.
He then goes onto the issue of doping. He defends his compatriots saying he felt they didin't take illegal substances intentionally and they didin't have the proper advice when replying to the rumours on the tour that there is a culture of doping among Argentine players. He admits he is very very careful about what he eats and drinks, with most of his time spent worring about contamination than about his performance on the court according to the magazine. "Everyone is scared about it" says Nalbo when talking about doping and the consequences it has on a career.
The last part of the article is about rallying, rallying, oh and more rallying. You all know about that now.
Those were the main parts of the article everyone.
