Re: Ryan Harrison
Harrison fell to Rhyne Williams by the score of 7-6(5), 5-7, 3-6.
I can't wait to read the match report in this one. Having followed the scoreboard, I can tell you that Harrison broke Williams at 2-2 to take a 3-2 lead in the third set, but Williams immediately broke back. After breaking Harrison again, Williams fell behind 15-40 while serving for the match, but he then reeled off four consecutive points to win.
Tough loss for Harrison; however, he didn't lose to a scrub. Williams will have a brutal draw in the next two rounds, but it wouldn't be shocking if he won the title. He has a big game. As inconsistent and volatile as he is, however, he could also flame out 2 and 2 tomorrow. I am very interested to see how he does. Harrison will undoubtedly be dejected about another fairly early exit at a Grand Slam, but his future is bright.
In other action, 6'4" serve-and-volleyer Devin Britton beat Bradley Klahn in straight sets and Chase Buchanan avenged his loss to Daniel Cox with a tight straight sets win. So three Americans are into the QFs (and four on the girls' side).

Re: Ryan Harrison
That's awesome that you were able to watch him play on tv. Anyway, tough loss for Ryan but Williams is talented and appears to be playing well right now. Also, Ryan really has a live arm but it seems his first serve is prone to really going off.

Harrison Brother's Moving to IMG/Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy
I just read that the Harrison brothers, Ryan and Christian, are moving to the IMG/Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. They are two of the top American juniors. Check it out on this link....

Re: Harrison Brother's Moving to IMG/Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy
Thanks. Without a doubt a great move for them....but still...annoying how everyone and their mother trains there. One thing I really appreciate about Querrey is him basically saying screw losing my high school years to a tennis academy...and that turned out well....

Re: Ryan Harrison
Saw his younger brother Christian hitting at the US Open. Christian's got a lot of potential along with his brother Ryan.

Re: Ryan Harrison
Christian is by far the best ranked junior born in 1994 according to ITF 18 and under rankings. He's currently ranked 326 while Edward Nguyen of Canada is next in line at 482. The next highest ranked is also an American named Mico Santiago, who I haven't heard a thing about but he's posted some good results. Not many juniors born in 1994 play 18 and under events, so take these with a grain of salt. Still, it's a pretty good sign for American tennis. Hopefully Bollettieri can work some of his magic with the Harrison bros.

What's the latest word on Ryan Harrison? I heard he has an injured back and is wearing a brace. Anyone else heard anything about this?

Re: Ryan Harrison
I read that he has a stress fracture in his back, but I don't know how serious it is or when he will be healthy.
