(ughh..very soon I think I'll talk to myself here)..well, nevermind.
News of Arnaud: ok, it's not funny but I have to admit I laughed though when i read that (l'equipe, today):

= "I played a fer7, the ball bung (?) a tree then came back me full in the head. The blood was gushing out."The skull heals, but Clement is more preocuppied by a arm pain which prevented to serve at the end of the training.

His arm pain is disturbing !!!

But the anecdot about golf accident...it's so surrealist... this kynd of thing happens only to him...

Marine, I laughed, too, as I have seen Nono play golf before. It doesn't surprise me that he got thwacked by his own shot!

The arm pain bit is scary! Hope he is ok.

By the way, we just had a major hurricane miss our city by 40 miles! We had hurricane-force winds, but thankfully we experienced no damage other than losing some mahogany trees. But I did spend three hours in a closet hiding with the kids....

ooh michelle we see some footage of the hurricane in florida.... didn't know you're still there... weren't people supposed to evacuate from the area? your closet must be one solid sturdy structure to have given you that kind of confidence.... :horror:

the golf accident.... that sounds just like me playing any sort of sports! but arnaud??? shouldn't he be slightly more agile than that..... i think it's more worrying than the sore arm ;-P

good luck to arnaud and seb playing tonight! thanks marine for the schedule, i just looked up the athens 2004 site, and they use the same 'start list' format for tennis like the other sports. well, as if arnaud/seb can send someone else to 'start' the match for them....

We live about a half mile from the evacuation zones in Naples, about a mile and a half inland....our homes here in this neighborhood are all concrete block construction, ours also has the benefit of steel roof trusses, so we felt that this was a safe place to be. What you are seeing on television are a.) mobile homes b.) older construction and c.) some of the effects of storm surge, which wouldnt affect us unless it was a direct category 5 hit. The homes around here are pretty much fortresses...

It was still pretty scary, even though our winds only got to around 90-100 mph.

I just look forward to getting some tennis coverage today. I need to see something cheerful and exciting rather than twisted trailer park wreckage.

And since we had to cancel my DC trip, I get to go to the USOpen instead I'll be there for the first two days

Seb and Arnaud lost in double...omg on this crual score 5/7 6/4 9/7 !

I am very very very sad, I hoped a lot of them.
They had beaten Black Ullyett in Indian Wells in final... *heartbroken*

did you get to see the match marine?

michelle - I grew up with typhoons so I can imagine. I just a thought 'a closet!' coz my closet right now would probably tumble with a few human pushes lol.... when I heard a tornedo warning, in Florida, I hid in the bathroom just my silliness, the locals knew better....

us open will be a great place to be.... a lot more players back from the olympics, though you may not be interested in those!
