David is capable of beating or losing to just about anyone on a hardcourt, and I would expect Gulbis to be a tricky opponent for him. Hopefully he can overcome that hurdle tomorrow.

David normally should beat Gulbis.

Well we said something similar to this a while ago. Before his match against Ferrero at AO...

Thanks, Doris.
Yes, Getta he should.
doesn't mean he will. But I wanna believe he is up to it.

Gulbis, I haven't quite figured him out yet. He is tricky, but I see him as another head case. Capable to do the best & the worst in the same minute.

Eden, thanks so much for the video.

I watched the interview & had to edit my post.
umm, nice tan. What is that on his forehead? a bit distracting for me.
why the hell are they still talking about last season I don't know.
he smiled. A LOT. And was actually very nice.

is the end of the world about to come?

I've never seen Gulbis play before, but I think it doesn't matter with David...I mean whether a player is tricky or not you'll still not know what to expect from David!!
fortunately he started to show some consistency lately so I'd like to believe that he'll win.
Best of luck anyway

Thanks a lot for the video Eden

yeah, I know.
it was really distracting to me because I was trying to concentrate on his words yet all I could see was THAT thing.

at least, if he cannot win, we now have our own excuse.
The pimple couldn't let him see the ball properly.

Agree. I can expect him up a break in one set or even up a set and a break against Dave and still get lost.
It will be a good match to test Nalby's current form after the break.

I often see Gulbis losing with 6-2 6-2 type scorelines or losing to very low ranked players. I also remember he hit Robredo off the court at the US Open, something like 6-1 6-2 6-3 not that I watched that match .

Horribly inconsistent, I assume. I have seen him play before myself but didn't really get much of an opinion. But yes, a very unpredictable opponent so it will be hard to judge anything from the outcome tomorrow without watching the match (which I assume none of us will).

Good Luck!!!!!!!
Why though is he always kept on outer courts at the beginning of tournaments? I hate it. I get to watch crap players(Fish, Isner, Querrey, Davydenko to name but a few) I hope a couple of the lower ranked americans lose today or otherwise the tournament is going to keep coming up with awful OOP's for the next few days. The only match which should be good is Ancic vs Gonzo.
The rest of the OOP is :retard:

Good Luck David! Hope his nice run on SA clay earlier this year continues or better yet his end of last year Masters run picks up where it left off.

And yes the OOP is a killer. Not even most americans like to watch the wipe outs that often occur with lower ranked americans in the early rounds - know all tournamnets schedule this way but fans want to see good matches no matter where the players are from. Guess that just means David has to stay in the tournament long enough to get on a "show court". VAMOS!

Davydenko? Not particularly talented, attractive, or funny, BUT definitely not a crappy tennis player.

Back to topic: Good luck to David today.
