I don't know about you but I don't read people's Info pages much or anything on FB...I'm sure it can be helpful to many though. People don't add friends on FB because of their interests/hobbies section, they do so because:

a) They know the person
b) It's some local famous person
c) They think the person is good looking
d) They just want to get as many friends as they can (aka friend whoring)

Yeah, that started to become a problem lately. I get about 10 invites a week from people I've never heard of in places like china, thailand, usually the east. The worst thing is that if you accept an invite, those people start commenting on your photos and fill your wall with useless status updates, drives me crazy!

I used to like doing that, until they converted every interest you typed in your profile into a link to a page for that interest. It's a shame - now there's nothing on my page about me.

I used to dislike Facebook too, but now I can accept that even though there are a few people that use it for annoying reasons, you can really use it for whatever you want. So if you don't like to put updates about yourself all the time, or post photos of yourself all the time, then that's fine. If you don't want to have a large amount of friends on your profile, then that's okay too. I don't know how people have so many people as friends, they'd have to block some of them from coming up on their status updates, otherwise it would be annoying to follow them all.

Facebook is good for getting to people you know in real life better (while doing so very casually), and obviously forums can't have the same function.

Yeah, the privacy on photos is not good. I once went through many photos of people from high school. Strangely looking at photos of anyone else, doesn't seem to interest me.

I don't get too many of those but I really don't see the point in adding those people. The worst part is when these people start liking every possible thing and it shows up on my home page...thank god for Hide.

Yeah people use it differently for sure. I have friends who have maybe 100 friends max and don't use FB much to post statuses or photos but to comment on other people's statuses or write on walls. Then there are the people that have almost 1000 friends and post a status 4 times a day and spend their whole day on it. I'm sort of in the middle

forgive me, I am always nuts, i wanted to comment about Titanic

I was younger when I first watched "Titanic" and I liked it, now I am getting older and think the love between Rose and Jack in Titanic is superficial and artificial. The movie tried hard to beautify Rose and Jack and justify their "love", but they are not that great. Even though they imaged Rose's financee as a man that is unkind, its still gave Rose and Jack no reason to have this affair so openly done in front of her financee and all passengers on the ship, its an insult to her financee, nobody forced Rose to marry him.

Whats more, Rose is of a noble class while Jack is as poor as a begger, are they going to live happily when they get off the romantic ship? I highly doubt ...... Its sucess is due to the beautifful costume/advanced computer technology, speaking of love, its nothing when compared with Brokeback Mountain
