Re: Kiwi on tour in USA!!! (gambled away in Vegas, next stop: INDIAN WELLS)
I hope he feels guilty for letting this mug win a tournament.
btw in doubles he lost to the winners too

Re: Kiwi on tour in USA!!! (gambled away in Vegas, next stop: INDIAN WELLS)
Yes, but that Querrey won the tournament is only a little consolation now. Otherwise, I would say he wasted a big chance because except Canas he would have been the favourite to win this tournament from the quarterfinals on because the field was weakened a lot.
And next time he plays a good optional tournament, he is probably with Blake and Stepanek in the semis again (like in LA).
In hindsight, this is one hell of a wasted chance!

Re: Kiwi on tour in USA!!! (gambled away in Vegas, next stop: INDIAN WELLS)
Kiwi's IW draw is not that bad, actually. First Sela, followed by Tsonga instead of a top 10 player and then possibly Mathieu. Not saying, that he'll win all these 3 matches, which he probably won't, but it could have been a lot worse.
Let's hope that he at least manages to reach the 2nd round.

Yes, there could be many worse draws than this! I would hope he can do something with them, but we just don't know in what form he will show up there

he won against Sela and Mathieu last year and I am not sure but I think Tsonga was a one-hit-wonder...

Davydenko/Kiefer vs Berdych/Dlouhy
That means he's underdog again. I would be surprised if they won it.

I think he also won against Tsonga last year?
But the loss against Querrey is not too promising:-(

I thought he wanted to play with Kohlschreiber...
Berdych/Kiefer would have been the better choice.....

Re: Kiwi on tour in USA!!! (gambled away in Vegas, next stop: INDIAN WELLS)
Cut-Off = 61
Kiwi/Kohl = 76
So Davydenko was a good option for Kiwi, although he isn't a good doubles player.

better playing with Davydenko than not playing at all. He needs matches to get back into shape. I am sure there will be another chance to play doubles with Kohli.

Re: Kiwi on tour in USA!!! (gambled away in Vegas, next stop: INDIAN WELLS)
True, since it looks like he'll lose against Sela. After losing the first set, he wasted a SP in the 2nd set and Sela got the rebreak.
EDIT:
He's leading 5:2 in the TB. Let's see if he finally manages to win the set.
He wins the TB with 7:4.
The way this goes, it does't really good for him, even if he wins the match...
EDIT 2:
Yep, it's over. With Sela serving first, I didn't expect anything else, anyways. Too many 3rd set losses for german players these days.

Pathetic Kiwi
Maybe he can win a match in Sunrise.
I still think he is the only one who has the potential to beat Ferrer, so that it wouldn't make sense to nominate someone else, but Kühnen won't think like that I guess.

Re: Kiwi on tour in USA!!! (gambled away in Vegas, next stop: INDIAN WELLS)
holy shit! really disappointing Of course is Sela a much better player than maybe two or three years ago, but still this match should be clearly considered as win-"able".
And WTF, I couldn't follow it online or any other way, but if I just look at the stats now... a mere 4(!) return points on Sela's serve in the third set? Unreal
Damn, I hope he gets it going at least in the Sunrise Challenger At least he entered, better than waiting until Miami then.

True. And both Berrer and Becker can increase their chances for the DC now, since Haas is doubtful.
It would really suck to neither see Haas nor Kiefer in Bremen. Might as well burn my DC tickets then.
