There's some truth to this. He's uninspired in early rounds against players he owns. We'll see Andy open against Benneteau in the second round, Haas has been too dreadful. Verdasco next. Karloshit lurking around the corner but I expect Murray will be waiting for him. I don't think Andy will get far enough to meet Roger. Draw could have been worse, actually.

Andy had a great week in Dubai. He played some great tennis beating some great players along the way and won the tournament. Beating the #2 and #3 players in the world in back to back nights was a great accomplishment. And making it two tournament wins in three weeks give Andy some good momentum going into the two Master Series Tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami. Dubai is an incredible place. It is changing so rapidly and they are doing amazing things with the city. As hard as it is to believe it seems for every building that is completed they are building two new ones. It was a very nice tournament and the crowds were great. Now it is onto Indian Wells and this first Master Series Tournament of the year. A great place to visit and be for a couple of weeks. Plus it is my favorite time of the year with the NCAA Basketball tournament just around the corner. |
