Daniel drew his countrymate Garcia-Lopez in Madrid. Difficult match, but one of the easier spots for qualifiers in the draw. Hopefully he plays well and there is certain to be at least one Spaniard playing Tsonga in R2.

Daniel is also playing doubles in Madrid with Ivan Navarro and they will play Fish/Knowles in the first round, with the winner playing the Polish pair Fyrstenberg/Matkowski in R2.

Daniel lost in the doubles with Navarro 3-6 1-6 to Knowles/Fish. Unfortunate but expected result. He plays his singles match today as the third match on court 4. Hope he has better luck in the singles vs. GGL!
