Re: Daniel GIMENO
He lost in 2nd rd of Q's, but got a Lucky Loser because Fish withdrew, so he plays Istomin Tuesday.

Re: Daniel GIMENO
Maybe he knew of the withdrawal, but he got very lucky with the draw. Istomin is winnable.

Re: Daniel GIMENO
He lost 7-6 6-3 to Michael Ryderstedt, who is ranked 392. Not good. There was a moment when Dani was down 1-3 in the second set and he got into a 5 minute debate on whether or not Ryderstedt had received coaching from his box. It got worse from there.
I had high hopes from this match considering the other guy is nearly in the 400s.

Re: Daniel GIMENO
Yeah, me too, pretty bad loss. Didn't expect much from this indoor season, but he has to take these 20 points at least.

Re: Daniel GIMENO
Dani beat Almagro in the first round of Valencia. He plays Soderling or Montanes next.

Re: Daniel GIMENO
Dani got a nice 1st round match against Bubka, though we just don't know what happens after the break.
[WC] BUBKA, Sergei UKR vs GIMENO-TRAVER, Daniel ESP
RAMIREZ HIDALGO, Ruben ESP vs [3] TSONGA, Jo-Wilfried FRA

Re: Daniel GIMENO
He lost in singles 6-2 6-4. Rather depressing. There's still doubles.

Re: Daniel GIMENO
His mate Andujar winning in Casablanca must have inspired Dani as he broke the streak 7-6(4) 7-5 over Giraldo. Just happy he won, hope he can build on it.
