Albert Ramos
Albert Ramos Vińolas born on January 17, 1988, in Barcelona.
Plays: Left-handed
Turned Pro: 2007
Coach: Jose Maria Diaz-Perez
He won two challenger event in the last year at San Sebastian and Seville.
No doubt, his greatest win was at his home when he beaten Fernando Gonzalez (#12).
His current ranking is #104, I guess he deserves a thread.

Re: Albert Ramos
Albert has continued to progress each season in his career. He has gone from a year-end ranking of #449 in 2008, to #168 in 2009, to #123 in 2010 to #66 in 2011, and is currently at a career-high ranking of #54.
After his breakthrough season in 2011, Albert has backed it up with a solid 10-9 record this season. Including beating Verdasco, he defeated Giraldo and Andreev to make the SF of Sao Paulo and won a match each at the other two Golden Swing events he played in Buenos Aires and Acapulco. He made the QF of Doha to start the season, and has made the third round of both Indian Wells and Miami, beating Gasquet in three sets in Indian Wells R2 and Lopez in straights in Miami R2.
His good performance on hardcourt indicate he could be in for a very good European clay season. Hopefully he can take advantage of his positive form playing on his favorite surface and continue progressing as the top 50 is close! His next tournament is the week after next in Casablanca and with the traditionally weak draw there, he has a great opportunity to have a real breakthrough event there. GL in North Africa, Albert!

I'm surprised there aren't more Ramos fans He's making his Dc debut, he took a set off Raonic yesterday, but lost 67 64 64 64.

Re: Albert Ramos
Yeah, he is unloved on here.
It's been a nice start to the season in terms of performances, but his results have been poor.

Re: Albert Ramos
Yep, I thought he would have more fans.. when I made this thread.
I like him.
Hopefully he beats Dancevic tomorrow.. Though I don't have too lot of hopes about this DC tie.

Kind of disappointing week in Vińa, he lost in QF's to Zeballos in three tough sets . The chance for the final was there, as Berlocq would have been the SF opponent.
