So, i just said "RIGHT NOW" Marsel is clearly better player and it's not about his being Turkish player. Dancevic had great GS qualies but if we look at his season, he's really sucking. He didn't played since Wimbledon and lost a set to Wolmarans and Klahn. On the other hand, Marsel found some form, qualified for Cincinnati and US Open without losing a set and beated Devvarman, Schoorel and Lacko in that period. Also his favourite tournament is US Open and when he lost to Tomic last year in the first round of qualifying there he was crying. His breakout performance came in US Open too (qualified and made R64 in 2009 when he was ranked at 231)
Surely, Dancevic is more talented player. He has better serve and more exprienced. He had ATP tour finals and was playing some great tennis but that's history. Right now, Dancevic is just serving better than Marsel. Marsel is clearly better from baseline, so i don't agree with flyboy there. Dancevic uses net well also but Marsel isn't bad at serving and volleying too.
I'd very surprised if Marsel loses this match. We will see.  |

Two points:
1) Frank beat Clement in the qualies from the baseline. His groundstrokes were clean and powerful - he hardly volleyed.
2) I was at Marsel's match in 2009 against Rochus when he won. It was a great win from him, but he was very lucky to win - he had to have quite a comeback and Rochus choked. Of course, Frank is capable of the same so you may be right.
Yes Marsel had a good summer but Frank was injured so that's the reason he didnt play.

Frank is the better player but he rarely plays like he is capable of, so yeah it's probably 50/50 but if they both brought their best game for the entire match I'm pretty sure Frank would win

Greg Sharko and also the ATP just tweeted that Frank is the first man to ever qualify at all Grand Slams in a season. Very cool for him. Can't believe it's never been done before.
