Pretty solid draw for Frank, given that he qualified on clay, he should be able to take this group on grass. Robert's not a huge threat on this surface, Ball's form is horrible, I agree that van der Merwe looks the most dangerous competitor in the group. If he plays to his level, he should qualify.

Form usually means little to absolutely nothing for GS qualifying.
Both Ball and Van der Merwe have games built for grass. Ball might have nothing to show for 2011 so far, but if his serve is on in round 2 Frank will have a ton of trouble breaking him

You can never underestimate anyone in a GS qualifying, but Crugnola took out Van der Merwe. I think - and hope - this improves Frank's chances

So it's Udomchoke next for Frank, then Crugnola or Burquier. He's a clear, big favourite in this section now, I'll be really disappointed if he can't qualify from here.

He has a nice draw to get into MD, but I won't count my chickens before they hatch with Frank.
