Like I said in the other thread.. Gasquet is probably too strong for Frank. I wish him good luck anyway though! He got a few points just for qualifying, and I think this will be a big year for Frank. I hope qualifying is the breakthrough he needs

Re: Frank Dancevic
The draw gods have once again given the middle finger to Frank.
I can definitely see him winning a set - maybe even two - but not a five setter. Even during Frank's huge run in the summer of 2007 he would have been an underdog in this match.

Re: Frank Dancevic
isnt it just so frustrating? honestly frank gets the draw he does in qualies so you'd think maybe the draw gods were smiling on him finally and then he gets gasquet
meanwhile milos gets phau
not a guaranteed win but its a hell of alot better than gasquet

Re: Frank Dancevic
Gasquet is not a bad draw, as a qualifier you play someone better than you, its just how it works.

Re: Frank Dancevic
its a bad draw in that there were other options available where frank could have won
obviously thee players already in the main draw are better
but like i said there are other a handful of spots frank could have been put in where he would have had a chance..but his chances against gasquet are about none. Im not saying he will be steamrolled but i dont think he's ready yet to beat richard
and after all of frank's luck with draws it would have been nice for him to draw an easier round

Re: Frank Dancevic
Not a great draw, but at least he's on a TV court. I don't think it's really bad luck or anything; there were about 6-8 players that you wanted to avoid as a qualifier, so there was a good chance that one of our boys would get one of them.
Frank took a set off Gasquet the only other time they met, but lost 5-7 7-5 3-6, in 2007. Obviously Richard is a heavy favourite, but Frank will have a chance if he plays well, good luck to him

Re: Frank Dancevic
It'll be a tough one to win but should be fun to watch.

Haha. I didn't see the match, was he just looking at his elbow or was he actually flexing for the crowd?
Anyway, disappointing it wasn't more of a battle.
