Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Another lapse in the middle but apart from that well done Thomaz. I'm upset that he has to play Isner although I think he should be able to beat Isner on clay.

Big win. So excited to see him against Novak, I really don't know who to root for though.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Thomaz and Brazil have a 2-0 lead in their Davis Cup tie over Uruguay, with Thomaz beating Martin Cuevas (Pablo's younger brother) 6-4 6-3 6-2 in the second rubber. The doubles team of Soares/Melo should be enough to see Brazil through to the world group playoffs in September.
Good job Thomaz and Marcos, good luck to the doubles pair today, and good luck next week in Madrid Thomaz!

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Melo/Soares won in straight sets and Brazil won their Davis Cup tie with Uruguay 3-0!!! They will be playing in the world group playoffs coming in September. Congrats to Thomaz and all of the Brazilian team!

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Now, the focus is back on Thomaz's singles career. Here is his section of the draw for this upcoming weeks event in Madrid:
Bellucci - Riba
Monaco - Greul
Almagro - Troicki
Bye - Soderling
Gonna be tough, Riba is a winnable match but he is playing in front of his home fans, and then most likely Pico and then potentially Soderling. If he plays well, though, he can make it through this part of the draw.
Good luck in Madrid, Thomaz!!!

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Thomaz won his dead rubber today 6-4 6-1 over Felder, and Brazil ended up winning 4-1 overall over Uruguay to secure their place in the world group playoffs. Thomaz is scheduled to play Tuesday in Madrid.
Thomaz is also in the doubles draw, playing with his countryman Bruno Soares. Their first round match is vs. the American pair, Isner and Querrey, and the winner would play #6 seed Marach/Kubot in R2.
Congrats to Brazil, and good luck to Thomaz in both events in Spain!
