Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Given their H2H, really nice win for him. A bit sad for Nico though.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
5-7, 6-4, 7-5 win! It shouldn't have been this close though.
Quote:
In the quarter-finals, he will play No. 3 seed Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil, who prevailed against Chilean Paul Capdeville 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 in a two-hour, 54-minute battle.
Bellucci jumped out to a 4-2 lead to start the match, but dropped serve at 4-3 and 5-6 to lose the opening set. He assumed a commanding 5-1 advantage in the next set, and though Capdeville fought back, he succeeded in closing it out 6-4 to keep his title campaign alive.
Capdeville turned the tables with an early break in the third set, but at 3-1, he failed to win his 40-30 and ad-in points as Bellucci returned the match to serve. In a riveting ninth game, Capdeville saved five break points in a game featuring 10 deuces, but he could not replicate his efforts in his next service game. Bellucci broke the Chilean to assume the 6-5 lead, and clinched the victory with an an ace on match point.

QF v. Schwank at 7pm local time. Hope he has enough gas left in his tank.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
I expected a threesetter, but nonetheless congrats to Thom.
nonetheles he must have the freshness advantage in his QF, Schwank won a challenger (though pretty easily) last week and had a very long 1st round match
I like them both, may the winner win the whole tourney

Re: Thomaz Bellucci
Hey, I`ve never made a post here before, even though i like thomaz a lot. Hello Last night Paul surprise me cause he really played a great and aggressive tennis at the begining an fought back all the match but Thomaz did what he had to do, won the important points and show why he is 35 in the ranking Honestly at some point i thought he was going to lose, specially in the third set when he was 1-3 down but for my happiness he won. I really hope Thom beat schwank tonight.
