Hrmm.. i reckon he'll be able to get to the fourth round, with Djokovic. I really dont think he would be able to beat him though.. Bagdahtis may be tricky for him. Hewitt, well thats do-able i think.. I know nothing about Gulbis so i cant comment on that..

All in all - a tough draw!

Thats what I thought but it's not on the official website. I'm still confused!
Yeah, sorry, I the dummie got all confused too but for the 3rd-4th place it is! From the official site:

Saturday January 12 - 2008 AAMI Classic Final
1pm
Play off for 3rd and 4th placing
Fernando Gonzalez (Chile) v Marat Safin (Russia)
followed by
Pre match Entertainment with JON STEVENS
followed by
2008 AAMI CLASSIC FINAL
Andy Roddick (USA) v MARCOS BAGHDATIS (Cyprus)

LOL Davai Marat!
I tried to watch the 'semis' vs Roddick last night and as Andy rightly said he was hitting quite clean indeed! It wasn't bad at all. Only the temper loss at the end of the 1st set and those double faults. Btw his 2nd serve is really weak for nowadays (was obvious vs Murray already) so he's gotta go for the 1st serve. When it's in it's still a nice weapon against most people.
But the errors were not bad, small outs (which really can be explained by the wind) and the fh looks nicer already VASSILY!!!!! At least it's much nicer to watch again than last autumn when it was sooo painful especially for a fan.

Take care peeps!

lovely draw, huh? I'd use Gab's smiley too but I don't know where to take it from

ah well, best of luck Marat, and no problems with the court colour, or the wind, or the heat, or the bounce of the balls, or anything else ...

Oh come on!!!!!!!! What kind of the draw did you people expect??? He is a bloody number 57 in the world after all!!!! Say thank you it's not Djokovic or Federer at the start!!! Baggy is beatable .. let alone Gulbis.

As Irochka has very wisely put it...if he decides to get out and kick some ass...this is a damn good draw...if he leaves his brain behind..the draw doesn't matter anyway

Not a bad draw at all... Udachi Maratik!!

I think the draw could have been much worse considering he isn't seeded! And as you've said, if Marat decides to play the draw doesn't matter!
