2008 AAMI Kooyong
Since I didn't feel like wading through 10 pages of thread material to find the last Kooyong thread, I thought I'd make a brand, spanking new thread.
We already know that David is an entrant in this year's event. What we don't know is who he will play-or even if a draw is out to announce who plays whom. Roger Federer and Tommy Haas withdrew from the event due to illness and injury, respectively, and have been replaced in the draw by Nikolay Davydenko and Marcos Baghdatis.
So..who plays whom? When we have the information, it will be here....

Re: 2008 AAMI Kooyong
Oh yeah. I didn't even notice Roger missing. Goes to show I really don't care about him.
I was just on the website to buy tickets for tomorrow and they had this:
Please note that Rodger Federer and Tommy Haas have pulled out
due to medical issues.
Marcos Baghdatis & Nikolay Davydenko will replace them.

Re: 2008 AAMI Kooyong
It's going to be a HOT tournament.
Weather Forecast
Wed: 33C
Thurs: 40C
Fri: 41C
Sat: 22C
Damn, I really wanted to go Thurs or Fri. Even though it's only 22C right now, the sun was so hot it stung my skin when I stood outside for a few seconds. Maybe I'll save my money and go an extra day next week at the Oz Open...

Please read the opening post. Roger withdrew because of illness, and the general message board has a thread on it.

BTW it's David's first play of this season.
Good luck David even though it's only the exhibiton.

Re: 2008 AAMI Kooyong
Bloody hell they're not televising David's match tomorrow on free-to-air TV.
They're showing the first 2 Kooyong matches then they'll televise the tournament in Sydney. Argh! I might be forced to go.

Sorry I didn't mean to ignore your post. I just thought it was funny that Roger withdrew, with the jinx and all that. And I was expecting to see David playing again Roger since it would give me the indication how good he could play.

Re: 2008 AAMI Kooyong
Check and see if your service provider carries ESPN360. I think that the Kooyong tourney will be streamed from there.

From the official website...
JASON DUNSTALL: David, you showed some sensational late season
form with back-to-back Masters titles in Madrid in Paris, wins
over the world's top three players. Are you confident of
carrying that form over to the Australian Open?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: Yes. I finish last year very good, playing
great tennis, great level, so I'm trying to play the game at the
top players. I feel fit again, healthy again, so I think it will
be a very good Australian Open this year.
JASON DUNSTALL: I think we should also wish you a happy birthday
back for the 1st of January. Did you have any time to celebrate?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: No.

Re: 2008 AAMI Kooyong
I don't know. I thought since they broadcast events worldwide, that it would be available...worldwide.
