Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Im half Italian (fathers Italian), my speaking of the language is not so great as I live in London but I understood that you are from Milano. My dad's from Roma.
Potito is easing up the rankings and hopefully by the end of the year he can enter the top 70 or so... Its good that Italy finally has a bit of a rivalry for the number 1 between he and Volandri. I hope both can be top 50 players together!

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Hey everyone! It's a bit quiet here...
I have a question.... is it just me or are there other people who can't enter Potito's official website? It says entra or something, but I can click on it as long as I want, it still doesn't work .

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Hey guys!
I've noticed Potito has been capable of some very good results this year. I was wondering how well he's been doing lately? If you see my signature, You'll notice I'm a fan of Alexanders, and I'm somewhat concerned he's gonna lose the match! lol, Alexander has had 3-4 weeks off tennis prior to Long Island, so I'm thinking that Potito might be getting to the second round

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
well played, Starace! (star-ace )
I saw his match against Popp on TV and he really played a solid match and did some intelligent things to make it hard for Popp. Too bad that Alexander couldn't fight back more, his game was too weak and Starace got much better after the 1st set.

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Starace next faces O.Rochus and so it will not be easy. Rochus beat Ancic we shall not forget in round 1 but its a good chance for Starace to reach round 3 of a GS once more this year!

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Potito fell apart in the last 2 sets, he was ahead 2-1 and then lost it Ah well, still this year has been great for him qualifying for 3 GS and getting to the second round here is still a good achievement. he will move up the rankings slightly again and has a couple more tournaments left this year. After them I hope we can look forward to a very successful 2005 from him.

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Potito lost in the 2nd round in Sicily this week. Unlucky because he had a big match v Massu but got injured early. At least he beat Gasquet in round 1.

Re: The Potito Starace fan club
Hahahaha... His name sounds very funny here in Chile. I remember when Nicolas Massu played against him in Palermo... Chilean people could not believe that he is called "Potito". In Chile, "Potito" means a diminutive word for "ass", "butt" or "rear". Surely he would receive many jokes if he will come to Chile.

Starace faces Benneteau tonight. In the morning for Aussies I guess! This match could tell us whether last year was a one off!
