There's lots more categories (110 to be exact!!). But I am happy Maroon 5 got 2 nods for Best Pop Vocal Album and Performance for It Won't Be Soon Before Long and Makes Me Wonder. I'm also happy that two of my fave movies, Happy Feet and Hairspray got nods for Best Song in a Movie and Best Soundtrack Compiliation.

Well, my interest was mostly on the Gospel category, everything else I don't really care for. 
My favourite for the Best Gospel Song is East to West of Casting Crowns, though I like Made to Love of TobyMac too.
And for the Best Gospel Album my personal favourite is again Casting Crowns The Altar And The Door, but the songs I know of Mandisa's album True Beauty are also very nice.
Ok I admit Casting Crowns are my overall favourite group

Record is given to the producer. Song is give to the actual writer I believe. In actuality, song is awarding great song writing and meaning. Record, to me, is basically the most popular song of the year. To me, Rihanna was bigger than any other artist this year. But as for song writing ability, Rehab takes it.

Though I don't really listen to country music much anymore, my main interest is in Dierks Bentley's FOUR nominations. There is alway such tough competition in the male country categories (George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban etc.), but I really hope that some day Dierks will win one of these big awards. He's a great artist/musician and treats his fans very well  |
