Bolelli is the same age as Tsonga

Try reading the thread, the answer has been explained about 3 times already. It's even in the original post you quoted.

Tsonga, Cilic, Zverev and Gulbis i think will have a chance of making it to Top 10.

Querrey having a good run at a TMS event on clay, out of this group, he'd be least expected to do so.

You want the name of a player who has the potential to become a very interesting Player: Thomaz Bellucci. I know I am Bias, because he is Brazilian. But the guy has come from last year being around 800th in the ranking, to today just outside the top 100. With 2 challengers already this year to his name and he is barely 20 years old.

Is very soon to predict what he can do at the ATP level but, I think he can be a factor specially on clay i nthe seasons to come. He has a very smooth agressive game, hits the ball big from both sides with easy and a damaging serve and is a quiet hard worker. Just a name for thought...lol..

This time we have 8 players, but there will be no groups. It will be like how I run the Liked/Disliked players thread, rate from then to 1 to 8. One being the best and 8 the worst. Give reasons if possible, it will make it more interesting to read.

Yes, their GS results will be updated as they compete in them and follow the progression of them into top players for some and others maybe not. For the most part I tried to get them in the same age, but Tsonga is here mainly because 2007 was his 1st full season without injury problems.

Success, well that would mean best potential or which one of them will win GS titles and TMC/TMS titles in the future.

The list of 8 are

- Gulbis
- Korolev
- Tsonga
- Cilic
- Young
- Querrey
- Zverev
- Bolelli

There is some variety among these players. Tsonga and big Sam with the huge shots, Zverev with the serve/volley, Korolev huge groundies, Gulbis has good variation. Young plays differently as he isn't all about the power. Cilic has very good work ethic and Bolelli could do well in some clay events.
It's a shame I have to write this now, after Tsonga's run, it will sound very biased.

1. Querrey (American, big serve, hard worker on court);
2. Tsonga (the most talented, but unfortunately injury prone);
3. Cilic (good game overall, not many flaws, good mentality);
4. Bolelli (solid off both wings, good game overall - his problem is having one of the worst returns of serve on tour);
5. Gulbis (overrated for sure - has big shots but is a ballbasher and when off has a huge drop in level);
6. Zverev (lots of touch, amazing talent - unfortunately tennis today is all about power and not touch, so he's not in a good position);
7. Young (Rochus is an exception, not a rule - too short/weak for the physical necessities of nowadays);
8. Korolev (ultra-overrated - ballbasher, awful shot selection and a general weak mental side).

Bellucci sucks. Ballbasher, no touch, huge swings, poor shot selection. If he ever gets in the top 100 he should be happy and frame the rankings' printed homepage of that day.

Thanks for the contribution Glenn, in fact I am not even sure what I was thinking when I listed mine, but I am going to stick with them.

No touch? He has great dropshots, that usually the oppponents dont even attempt to run it down. I do agree though, he is a ball basher but, in a good way. There are many of those in the top 100. Anyway, I thought I saved this quote of yours for future reference about him having to frame his ranking, if he evers gets into the top 100. Because I think you are going to burn your tongue lol

Bellucci is nowhere near the class of the guys listed in this thread. Please don't overhype him.

He's 20 years old and ranked inside the top 130, any reasonable person would say he's got a decent chance of being a regular top 100.

So? Playing challengers will only take him so far and he doesn't have a chance in regular IS.

He has a chance to show what he is about now, when he plays arse picker at RG.

Tsonga is out again with injury problems and Korolev failed to qualify for RG.

Cilic playing another youngster in Haase, should be a tight one, but think Cilic is better on the clay.

Querrey the clay monster up against Federer, but he has shown some good signs.

Zverev is waiting for the grass season.

Bolelli, worst returns in the top 100, but hits some great winners, has a chance against Baghdatis.

Gulbis won his 1st rounder and DY has a big chance against Gineprick.

Gulbis and Bolelli both realistic chances of making the the 4th round.

i thought he was ranked #100 already. i will have to check the rankings. he won 4 challenger events this year unless i am mistaken--all on clay. this tells me that he is developing his game nicely.

johnny mac said that he has a good future ahead of him. he is top 50 to be sure inside a year.
