Default Re: Part 2 : Which one of these 8 youngsters will have the best career? Cilic, etc e

Cilic and Querrey played a surprisingly decent match at Wimbledon. Then Zverev had a big chance to make the 3rd round, but blew it badly against Petzschner.

Code:
1. Tsonga	17-5
2. Cilic	17-7
3. Gulbis	9-7
4. Bolelli	8-6 ( not including W/O)
5. Querrey	6-7
6. Korolev	3-7
6. Zverev	3-7
8. Young	0-4

Ernests needs to wake up, he's going backwards too.

Didn't Young make it to the 3d round of USO once?

Yes, DY did, but this thread was done after that achievement, so the above table is taken from the AO of the next year.

Uhh... Horrible list... I'll just pick Tsonga but he's too much of a showman. His game is very inconsistent. But I can definitely tell you who the worst is, Cilic, due to his face.

I think at this rate U.S Open 09 is very achievable and anyone with at least 1% Tennis knowledge understands this

Tsonga and Cilic, are so far ahead of these others at the moment.

Querrey had a good year and the bizarre injury to end it. Zverev, the mix of serve volleying and pushing from the baseline, no

Gulbis, well he can only improve on his 2009.

DY, peaking at the end of year Challengers when everyone else is tired and thinking about the next season.

Bolelli falls from 36 in February, to 94 year end. He's also on an 8 match losing streak, including a loss to Millot.

I believe Tsonga will have the best career, pending he can stay away from injuries. I think Querrey and Cilic come afterwards, but definitely Tsonga. Jo-Willie has more talent and potential at this point, and he's notched some huge wins over top players, so I give him the edge.

querrey is good but he is not of cilic's rang.
tsonga will be 25 for 5 months so he has too uch time for big time
on the other hand cilic has even better potential and he turn just 21 recently

Man, rereading the first posts, it seems Gulbis and Ronald Yong were hot stuff back in '07.

haha, i was rereading the first posts as well and everybody were talking about them. But both of them seems a little lost, aren`t they. I mean, the end of the season for gulbis was a little ok (considering the quaters in St. Petersburg and Tokio) but what about Young? where is he now?
