When her husband gasped at what she had just said she tried to backtrack, but her true thoughts were out. That is one big difference between atheists and Christians. Atheists don't believe in God, but also don't believe it gives them any moral superiority.
So you base on what one "Christian" said and project to all Christians? Should I base on what one of the atheists said here and project it to all atheists?

If Mother Teresa believed she was a better human being because she's a Christian, I doubt she would ever do what she did to all those "non-Christians" who were abandoned on the streets all those years.

Religion and the bible are two completely different things. Which is why I do not belong to any one church. I really haven't studied this closely enough to form an opinion, but it's quite possible that some elements of evolution are valid.

so you agree that proves absolutely nothing, plus just forget that a large part of humanity does not worship those monotheist gods ( in India China Japan etc). the god of Ancient Persia still "live" with Zoroastrism
I'm not trying to prove you wrong, you worship who you want to

Then I suppose I am an untraditional believer in God.

I am a university educated person who has taken several advanced biology courses. I've seen limited evolution in practice. But I have never seen anything that would convince me that such evolution ever has or ever will cause one species to turn into another species.

I am quite shocked that anyone would claim to "not believe" in evolution at all though. These are either grossly uneducated persons or else they think, as you do, that Christians can't admit to belief in evolution for fear of undermining their belief structure. I have no such qualms.

Your point?

I'm a Christian. Not a Baptist, Jehova's Witness, Catholic, Anglican.

I've never claimed to be able to prove God. If it could be done, it would have by now. I was only outlining why *I* have the beliefs that I do. I am constantly perplexed at how many people have absolutely no idea why they believe a certain thing.

No, I'm not "thinking". According to the christians, God made men to his image. Then admitting apes can ever become men is absolutely out of the question.

I pity brainwashed idiots like you. Go pray, maybe God gives you a brain.

I'm sure during the evolution some stopped midway and kept the apes' brain. Like you.

God made man in his image. Adam and Eve were in God's image. After murdering Abel, Cain "knew" his wife in the land of Nod. It comes down to personal interpretation, but it is possible that man did exist in other forms, just not in God's image. Now as you're so knowledgeable with the evolution theory, what could've been the cause of the Pre-Cambrian explosion?

Admitting that small-scale evolution exists has not a whit to do with whether apes can become men. Cross-species evolution is only theoretical (and statistically improbable). Why do you think scientists wring their hands over the fact that there aren't any "transitional" fossils? Inter-species evolution, on the other hand, is documented and irrefutable. Head lice have developed an immunity to the pesticides that we use to get rid of them. This is adaptation at its finest.

True, as bacteria who become resistant to certain antibiotics. I may study engineering but I haven't forgot what I learnt in school.

Well, what about the primitive humans like the Neanderthals?
