Re: ST. PETERSBURG: Trying To Save The Season In St. Petersburg!
Nico plays last on center court tomorrow.
Will be around 1:00 p.m. my time. (Which means that I can't follow it - thank goodness.)
Vamos Nico...

Re: ST. PETERSBURG: Trying To Save The Season In St. Petersburg!
Sorry Lovely, but neither Nico needs a "fun" match. They need to win. Even if it is doubles.

Don't take double too seriously Okay they need to win..but sometimes you have to have "fun "on court...(they won't improve their double ranking with that match for sure )

Re: ST. PETERSBURG: Trying To Save The Season In St. Petersburg!
We'll have to agree to disagree.
The man hasn't won anything - singles or doubles - in months, and we are discussing whether he is having "fun" out there?????
Sorrrry, but he needs someone to kick his ass and win some matches.
Again, his career is going down the drain.
Maybe when he's down to 200th in the world, we can be less concerned about whether he's having "fun" out there and start to think about some wins???

Don't be so harsh with Nico
Doubles is a good way to play some matches without any pressure

Re: ST. PETERSBURG: Trying To Save The Season In St. Petersburg!
My dear Mademoiselle Lovely - he gets enough hugs from everyone else here to last him a lifetime.
I'm old school - I want my favorite player to win.
Cute is great...but cute and a winner is definitely far better.

Re: ST. PETERSBURG: Trying To Save The Season In St. Petersburg!
Nothing to do with hugs or cute...
Just having some fun on courts...nothing else Nobody saw this doubles here so maybe Nico played great and Lapentti played crap
I love when my fave wins too but if they don't , well...they will do better next time

Re: ST. PETERSBURG: Trying To Save The Season In St. Petersburg!
What a positive atmosphere is over there lol
Hola!
I was at Nico's practice on Sunday evening and took some photos. Just thought maybe some of you would like to have a look, here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/1188077...853036/detail/.
Your guy was practising with Starace on the central court which they were sharing with Kunitsyn and Tursunov. The last one was kidding at Nico all the way and in quite a stupid manner I'd say
So Nico has got a long and hard practice (but also he was having fun ) and his tennis looked not bad at all. I don't follow so much of South American tennis so I'm really surprised to come in here and find out Massu hasn't been winning a match for ages. Do hope he's going to walk over this black line soon!
Good luck!

Pathetic...truly pathetic.
Nico - go back to square one. Meaning challengers and remember how to play this freaking game.

That's precisely what the 2 guys are doing, particularly Hernych who was ranked around 70 not too long ago, made the singles QF here last year but failed to qualify this year
