A great win, indeed. Wawrinka wasn't that bad, but Kiwi rock solid. His bh was beautiful.

A shame that I couldn't be there (had work to do, so I could only follow the Nadal and Djokovic matches).

You missed a good match and an unbelievable atmosphere.

Thanks Kiwi.

some withdrawals in Roland Garros and Kiwi is on the seeds list already. Winning over seppi tomorrow makes him 31 in the ranking and seeded if nobody overtakes him next week when he doesn't collect points in Düsseldorf

The next week is no problem for the seeding as the draw is made before the new ranking.

The Hamburg adventure finally came to an end for Kiwi. He gave a good effort to come back in the 2nd set, but unfortunately also missed to serve out the match (as Seppi did in the 2nd) and/or failed to get the 2nd break in the 3rd.

He has played worse and lost worse from leading. I hope he is able to swallow it and can look back at the positive things in this match and at his previous matches in Hamburg with a positive feeling. That's what he has to take from this week!

I think he'll be German number one anyway. If I'm not completely wrong he'll have 15 points more than Judio gave him in the ranking thread. Kiwi's ranking breakdown on atptennis.com has the French Open 2007 listed with 0 point. But in fact he was ranked 200-something in April 2007. That means RG 2007 was not countable. His 15 points from Las Vegas will remain. He'll not have 895 points next week but 910. So he'll pass Haas, Simon, and Kohlschreiber.

Okay. Looks like he gets the zeropointer because he was on the entry list and then withdrew. But on his own homepage he says he'll be German number one next week.

that's what they told him in the pressconference... but you are right, he will lose the Las Vegas points... but oh well... German No 1 is nice but you don't get anything for it. More importand is to be among the 32 seeds in Roland Garros. And this is now only possible if 5 top players withdraw.... (Hewitt, Haas, Baghdatis.... ) Not nice to hope for something like that, I know.
