Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Yeah, Kiwi >> Nadal on clay, no doubt about it.
I only saw the end of the first set, I recorded the full match though.
As Neely already said:
at least he won the close set.
Hoping for someone like Tursunov, Fish or Mahut in Hamburg R1.

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Four:love can you upload the match (or only first set) somewhere for me and others maybe? I would love to watch parts of it, but I was at work at this time and didn't have the chance to follow it because I actually had a very busy afternoon
It doesn't hurry, just would love to watch something of Kiwi as a "Überbrückung" to Hamburg

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Hewitt and Gonzales also withdrew from Hamburg => Kiwi is 1st alternate now and since they have a special exempt place (which I think only Bolelli and Horna can get) it is very likely he will get direct acceptance and will not need the wildcard which means he will at least get 5 points in Hamburg

btw. is tomorrow free? I don't see any prices/tickets on the Rothenbaum site.
Sorry about the video upload. My upload already stopped twice with megaupload. I'll try to upload the files separately.

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
And one more reason to buy a ticket for Wednesday.
Great serving from Kiefer.

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Yes, his serve was really working well and earned him important easy points! Lets hope for such a day again and for hot and dry weather.
And Mathieu is quite a good player on clay. One of Kiefer's best clay wins for years! (okay, he didn't win a lot else )

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
You can read a transcript of the PC here:
http://dtb-tennis.rent-a-cluster.net...onferences.php
You can also watch a video (real media format). Only in german though.
His doubles match together with Kohlschreiber against Hanley/Moodie is on Wednesday, which means 2 matches on the same day. A "busy day", as he said himself.

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Now I'm confirmed why I was that glad and also had a fist pump after he virtually won for the 2nd time yesterday against Mathieu, after the umpire made apparantely a wrong call by not correctly identifying the ball mark.
Just look what happened to Kohli today after a wrong decision, and Kiwi was even closer to the end of the set and game than Kohli. Really good that it fired Kiwi up and that he could positively use his anger this time

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Kiwi won again
defeated Wawrinka 7-5 7-5
He also saved 2 SPs in the second set.
Really good showing from Kiwi in this match, hopefully he can win again against Davydenko
Go Kiwi
