Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Kiwi playing in Europe again! He went to Monte Carlo already to play the Qualy but... Gonzales, Blake, Hewitt and Darcis already withdrew... one more and Kiwi gets direct entry into the maindraw. Since Berdych and Tsonga suffered serious injuries during Davis Cup they will withdraw, too so Kiwi should be in!!!
EDIT: Tsonga now withdrew => Kiwi is in the maindraw!!!!!!!!

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
I get the impression, that, the older he gets, the more he fights to still win tight matches. When was the last time, he choked away a big lead?
Anyways, 3 sets win against Cilic.
The croat was leading with both a set and a break in the 2nd set.

Re: The European Swing... back on clay
Damn, that was a good surprise when I saw the score on Sunday and didn't even remember that he was playing already on Sunday. I was like and when I saw the positive score
And good to hear that he fought well again!

I also would hope for that because that would mean that Kiwi would have won other matches this week, but on the other side it would mean a pretty quick negative record of 0-3 against Nadal within only three or four weeks ...

better losing against Nadal than losing against Kohlschreiber...
Kiwi didn`t sign in for the Quali in Rome or Hamburg which means he either gets a wildcard or doesn`t compete at all....
