Re: The European Swing... GOOOO KIWI!! Make it back to top 100
Can you imagine that Wawrinka was Kiwi's first indoor masters main draw win since 1998? Maybe I overlooked one, but it's a weird stat. He also missed so many of them due to injury or had to play qualifying.

That can't be true, can it? Wow.

2 breaks in each set. Youzhny is clearly not in great form right now, so we could hope for a Kiefer win, but this scoreline is surprising.
Next up is Mr. Ace, Ivo "Dr. Ivo" Karlovic. We all know that one of Kiefer's strengths is usually his return. Ok, he didn't do much against, let's say, Berdych's serve in Halle (I don't remember any other match against a big server), but that was his first comeback match, so let's hope that his return skills are back 100%. He'll need them.

Oh damn, I didn't read here today earlier, or else I would have figured sooner what scarecrows meant in GM

Hehe, that would be even better.
But very nice, that he got that WC, since Eurosport/Eurosport 2 will have live coverage.

Yeah.
After all those Haas losses, it's good to see that Kiefer managed to defeat the tall croat.
Now let's see what'll happen against Gonzalez. A lot of UEs on Gonzalez' side wouldn't be too bad.

Re: The European Swing... GOOOO KIWI!! Make it back to top 100
Very great!
A quarterfinal in an indoor Masters after he wasn't winning a match before since 1998 Even if it is over tomorrow, I am not too disappointed...
Lets hope that Kiwi plays well and Gonzalez not extra well, then he has a chance. If Gonzalez is going to hit too much with a high success rate, Kiwi can't defend against these balls on a constant basis, I fear. But if Kiefer is able to hold his level and Gonzo is a bit shaky, I give him a chance.

Re: The European Swing... GOOOO KIWI!! Make it back to top 100
Kiefer leads the H2H with 2:0. Their last match was in Miami 2006. 6:2, 3:6, 7:5. Kiwi will, once again, need to run a lot against him and hope for some fh misses.
