Re: madrid
I went to youtube to watch Roger's last TB vs Canas to compare it to what we've seen from him yesterday - Totally different tactics, it was really beautiful to see - so much agressiveness from him yesterday - and you could really see how much slower Miami than Madrid.

You would think Nadal's loss would spur Roger on to win this event to increase the gap. He got a scare from Feli at the US Open so I don't think he'll take this match lightly. At least I hope not.

The way he has been playing, Feli is going to be a handful for Roger. Roger better come prepared.

He came prepared to give Canas a beat down. I certainly don't expect this match to be a beat down, but then I didn't expect that one to either. But of course Lopez can bother Roger more on this surface than Canas can.

Re: madrid
Yes, Lalo is serving very well - Roger just can't seem to break it.
Fortunately Roger is holding his own serve very easily so I expect him to be able to win this match in two - perhaps through a second TB.
Credits to LaLo, though - he's really become a player to reckon with, especially on HC.

Re: madrid
Was that 1/10 or 1/11 on BP conversions? I guess it could be worse, we haven't seen Roger play a dumb service game (yet).

Re: madrid
Personally I think Roger played a fairly good match. 10 Break points is hard to swallow, but LaLo served really well on those breaks. Lalo's serve kept this match close.

Re: madrid
Yes, it was mostly good service from Lalo to fend Roger off than Roger making dumb mistakes, one or two, one dump into the net, several over-hits, but it's a lefty serve, so.

Absolutely true. Roger didn't just blow these BP, but it was rather Feli defending them very well indeed. Both of them played a good match - and Lalo is obviously becoming a lot better lately! :yeah - but in the end an expected win from the better player.
Well done, Rogelio, come on grab that title now. You're the only one left for me to root for.

What? You haven't jumped on the Nalby bandwagon?

Re: madrid
Fed played a good match and Feli's serve saved him on numerous occasions. All in all, I am glad that Fed was focused today and during the tournament in general after a long break.
