Re: Tiger Woods wins $10,000,000
Seriously, I just read today's newspaper article about it. Really sucks to be some other guy, firing a 60 at a round in the tournament (the pro record at the place,) and Tiger comes back with a low enough score to finish 23-under (after four rounds.) Re: Tiger Woods wins $10,000,000
a sport where a 50 year old can win pro tournaments cannot be one of the hardest in the world

It's not physically the most demanding, that's why this is possible. It's the most mentally demanding sport.

Inaugural year. Vijay Singh led as number 1, for a time. Tiger took his place back. ...this, apparently, is the institution of this...Grand Prix thingy.

Chess and Poker require much more intellect to play than golf.

Agree. Good example of this is David Duval

Did I say it was the most intellectual sport?
And anyway, poker requires luck not intellect.

this is pretty rich coming from a golf fan.
golf is not a mentally demanding sport. It requires concentration just like hitting a free throw does when the game is tied at the end of a basketball game, or when you have to hit a huge serve down match point.
The mental aspect of golf is overrated. To perform at the highest level in any sport/game requires concentration.
the degree of uncertainty in a game like poker is far greater than in golf or any other sport, that makes it all the more remarkable that certain individuals have demonstrated consistent success in this game.
