Machi is having a great week in Umag and will play Juan Carlos Ferrero for a SF berth.

What a match!!!!!!!!

Machi has just won R1 at US Open, spectacular come back in five sets!
When he lost 6-2 6-1 set 1&2 I though he was already dead!
But he recovered and won set 3, 4 & 5.
His opponent was superior, at least he is more known: Karol Beck.

The final score:
Maximo González def Karol Beck 2-6 1-6 6-1 6-4 6-3

Vamos!!

Any news about Machi and the way he is recovering??? I hope he is well for Roland Garros and playing one or two tournaments before would be great.
Get well soon Maximo!

Machi played two great matches in Hamburg this week. On Tuesday it was his birthday and his fanclub was very sweet and sang happy birthday to him before and after the match He really appreciated this and was very happy

In Bastad Golubev was unfortunately too strong for Machi, he did not have a chance. It is the same Golubev who just won Hamburg, so no shame for this result.

I really loved to see Machi in Bastad and Hamburg. He was very nice to his fans and gave his all on the court. It is nice to have him back, I missed him!! Vamos Machi!!!!

Machi is one match away from a comeback into the top 100 after his injury, in the finals of Santiago challenger v Eric Prodon. He's had a good start to the season, making the QF of the ATP event in Santiago and qualifying in Acapulco. Let's hope he wins and gets that top 100 position!
