Re: ▲▼▲▼▲ Indoor Season 2007 ▲▼▲▼▲
Allez Richard!
I just got back from Paris to find out he'd won (my train coincided with today's match ): ) and I just had to come on here! I've been reading the reports, seems he played pretty badly today, right? But a win is a win so I'm still leaping around happy but it's 3am and I have no one to share my happiness with currently, so I came on here to big him up. (:
Now I shall read back over everyone's comments, this should take a while...

RICHARD GASQUET: No, I always played well against him. I always won the first two
sets in Roland Garros, so I hope not to win the first two sets this time. (Smiling.)
Maybe the sky will fall?

I'm afraid, Nalbandian could destroy Richie. I just keep remembering how flat RIchie came out against Fed at Wimbly after his tough match against Roddick and Nalbandian looked SO strong at the end of his match today - like he could go for 20 more sets. Nalbo is my second fav player so I win either way but I'd really like to see RIchie win tomorrow - he needs it and after hanging tough through 3 matches, he deserves it. Nalbo has been there, done that, and since he has no chance for Shanghai... although I can't see Baggy beating both Nadal and Nalbo so Richie is looking pretty good.
Hope it's a good match with both playing well and "may the best man win" ...

But as with you, a win/win situation for me. I just hope the winner of this match goes on to take the title!

Like you guys, tennis will be a winner for me. however, I might hope Nalbandian to win if Nadal beats Baghdatis because although Nalbandian cannot make Shanghai in this situation, he could be there as an alternative. Nobody knows who might withdraw from Shanghai just like 2005. But there's no way I'm not rooting for Gasquet if Baghdatis makes the final.

Inspiring tennis from Richard (maybe except that second set )... but I guess that's what make the W extra special yesterday. He fought for it.
Best of luck

It's getting rather obvious what everyone's tactic will be against Richard now.

Nalby is on fire. It's pretty hard for him to win. Just want him to show a great match.

The one thing he should fix before heading to Shanghai is be much more aggressive. He's still 100 km behind the baseline.

Sooner or later, when everyone drop shots him, someone in his training camp will realise.

That's what Murray tried to do in the first set yesterday.
