Re: Your fave spanish players
1- Carlos Moya (the king of the clay always)
2- Felix Mantilla (very nice guy)
3- David Ferrer
4- Feliciano Lopez
I used to like a lot Corretja, I have nothing against Costa but he has a boring game I think but he's a very nice guy who would deserve to be recognised in Roland-Garros (wasn't the case this year when he was walking alone outside the stadium and nobody paid attention to him, as he's a former winner), and in the future, I think I'll watch Verdasco, but I have no opinion on him at the moment.
Regarding Nadal, there's too much attention on him at the moment, and I don't like this kind of attention. I have nothing against him and good luck to him, but I'm not interested by him even if Carlos Moya is his mentor.

Re: Your fave spanish players
1) Nadal (how is it possible this teenager is so much like me?)
2) Moya (my first Spanish fave)
3) Ferrer (such a fighter)
4) F Lopez (gotta love a Spaniard that always does well at Wimby)
5) Verdasco (great game but hasn't put all the pieces together to crack into Top 20 yet)
6) Ferrero (impressive come back from horrible 2004)
For the others, Corretja is very hot (saw him at Cincinnati in 2003), Costa I find boring, I can't quite take a shining to Robredo despite seeing him practice and 2 of his matches last year - maybe it's because I find it hard to understand his accent when he speaks in English.

Re: Your fave spanish players
Albert Portas (No. 25) - Everyone's favorite "Dropshot Dragon" proved his mettle with his Tennis Masters Series victory this spring. On CLAY. Wimbledon could be a different story. His first-round opponent, Italy's Davide Sanguinetti, owns a sneaky game. Sanguinetti's effortless strokes produce more power than expected, and he volleys well. Plus, Sanguinetti has more heart than Rosie O'Donnell. In Memphis this February, he nearly defeated Mark Philippoussis for the title while playing through intense pain.
He won Hamburg just with his nickname.

Re: Your fave spanish players
Tommy Robredo
Fernando Verdasco
Juan Carlos Ferrero
Guillermo García López
Carlos Moyá
Feliciano López
Not always in that order (apart from Tommy who always stays on top there *g*), and not exclusively. About the only Spaniard I don't really like is Rafa, though I can't even say why. He just sort of bugs me ... It's getting better though.

hehe yeah that's always been his nickname. he played really well that year in hamburg...i think it was like 2001? can't remember. but yeah...he's a nice guy actually...i met him when he played doubles with robredo at aus open in 2003 when they somehow got to the quarterfinals! shame he's dropped off now though...just plays challengers and that's it

Re: Your fave spanish players
Mine are:
Ferrero/Robredo... I will not put one ahead of the other... I refuse!
Verdasco
Nadal
Ferrer
I want to like Moya. All my friends do. But I just... don't.
