I'm not positive this is correct, but I have read that Soderling has withdrawn and Ivo now has #32 seed!!!!!!!!!

CLEMENT!! What a lousy draw for Ivo, another short French guy with great returns. I can't believe Clement slipped out of the top 32. Only worse unseeded players to draw in my book were the other short French guys (or French speaking--to include Olivier Rochus) or Stepanek.

That griping aside, he's got a reasonable chance to beat Clement, though I'd say it's less than 50/50.

Roddick would be 3rd round, and Roddick has Gimelstob 1st round than a pure clay courter in 2nd round so there's no chance he'll get upset.

Great showing by Ivo so far in New Haven, his win over Andreev puts his ranking into the top 30, if he beats Fish he'll bump up to #28!! He's owned Fish so far this year, so he should win this one. Blake in the finals would be fun. Blake stands so close in on service return and tries for such big returns I'd predict at least 30 aces for Ivo in that match.

With this great result heading into the Open I'll revise my previous prediction and say that Ivo should be slightly favored over Clement. Still a tough match though.

Nice that he's seeded but I don't like that draw. Clement showed he can beat Ivo and without a problem return his serves. I would say chances are 50/50. Because Ivo is in form and Clement had some injury, but you never know with Ivo at grand slams... If it gets to 5th set it will be tough for Ivo.
