Re: John Isner
Glad to see John has some support here. I watched the entire tournament (singles and team) in Athens and I'm happy for John even though it was unfortunate he didn't pull off the dubs and singles.

Isner won first round of Lexington challenger, beat #8 seed Kyu Tae Im 6/3 6/7 6/3
Looks like he has a decent draw to do well here..I saw him play a lot this past year @ UGA, hope he does well.

Re: John Isner
also a WC into Washington ATP. here's his section.
(8) BECKER, Benjamin/BYE
(WC) ISNER, John v HENMAN, Tim
GARCIA, Adrian v QUALIFIER
(10) DEL POTRO, Juan Martin/BYE
tough opponent for John but Henman is probably a little rusty too.

Re: John Isner
Evans beat Isner in a very close match at Aptos, 11-9 in the 3rd
set tie break. Hopefully John can turn the tables this time.
As far as Washington goes, Henman at this stage of his career is
very beatable. In the second round, Becker is a solid player but
that is a match that Isner can take as well.

Re: John Isner
John wins his first challenger title with a win in Lexington over Brian Wilson 6-7 6-3 6-4. This has been a solid transition from collegiate tennis for John. Since starting out full time on the pro tour last month, he won a futures event, and now has a challenger title under his belt. Time to start making a mark on the pro tour.

Re: John Isner
When he lost without any chance to Dick Norman in Newport I started to get some doubts about his potential but that has been disproven now. Won't be long before he gets an ATP match win.

Re: John Isner
Isner beat Henman 4-6 6-4 7-6(4).
Great job John. Good luck in the next round. With the
nerves of winning your first match at this level out of the
way, no reason why you can't beat Becker and advance deep into
this tournament.

Re: John Isner
I've not seen this guy play before. Congrats to him on his big win over Henman. I hope I get to see him play soon.
Here's a profile page about him. And here's a USA Today article about him.
Some pics I found.....
