Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
Bolelli pulled out of Ordina. Seppi I think is in MD for that tournament.

Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
so Seppi changed tournaments this year, hopefully he can defend some of those points
Bolelli first skipped Queens and now Rosmalen. Maybe he'll not play on grass at all this year

Possible, why? I have no idea... I thought Simo could maybe do well (or at leats better than most Italians) on the grass. Maybe he is having the summer off, but Im sure he will be at Wimbledon!

Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
Seppi v Peya 1st round... he should win (and if he doesnt it would be mjaor bad) but after this he gets Ljubo or Monfils which is almost a certain loss and would also mean bye bye to top 100 for this week. I dont think he has much to defend for the rest of the year though so a couple decent toruneys can bring him back.

Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
Vagnozzi lost so six Italians left.
I expect Bracciali, Galvani and Luzzi have good chances of qualifying still.

Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
Flavio played a poor match, really. Mello overpowered him and had to slice almost every ball, and Mello wasn't struggling with it. Sometimes the slice really works on grass, but usually Mello had all the time in the world.
Cipo is still playing doubles though. The qualies doubles match was postponed yesterday, but he and Economidis get another chance today against the tough Bopanna/Zovko team. But Bopanna lost a match 19-17 in the third yesterday, so hopefully he'll be really tired
OK Off again!

Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
So far a good day, easy wins for Galvani, Luzzi and Gabba in the womens. Crugnola is a set and a break up before rain stopped play. Lorenzi is 1 set all with Lammer at the moment. Bracciali and Stoppini still to play.

Re: Italians on Grass (WIMBLEDON TALK HERE)
Luzzi and Crugnola lose in final quali round. Galvani and Bracciali play tomorrow. I feel both have good chance, but we will see how they go. I really hope bracciali qualifies because he is a good grass court player. Probably the best Italian player on grass.
